Christopher Andrew Buchanan BDS,MFDS,MOrth, Specialist in Orthodontics.
Originally from Inverness, Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Neuroscience from The University of Glasgow in 1993 before going on to study dentistry at The University of Glasgow Dental School. After graduating in 1998, Chris became a Senior House Officer in Glasgow before starting his Orthodontic training at Liverpool University. In 2004 after completing his specialist training Chris worked as an orthodontist in Manchester whilst preparing to set up Highland Orthodontics. Dr. Buchanan is on the Specialist List for Orthodontics with the GDC and is certified to provide Invisalign and Incognito treatment.
Clare Buchanan, Practice Manager.
Practice manager Clare has been with Highland Orthodontics since it began in 2005. She ensures the smooth running of the practice and is currently studying for a PDA in Dental Practice Management.
Stacey Macdonald, Senior Dental Nurse.
Stacey joined the practice in 2007. She qualified as a dental nurse in September 2002 after completing and passing her National Certificate in Dental Training. Stacey has completed several courses including Oral Cancer, the Alexander Technique and Insight into Orthodontics.
Kailee Peden, Dental Nurse.
Kailee is a qualified dental nurse who joined the practice at the end of 2008. She is currently studying for her radiography qualification.
Hannah Mackenzie, Dental Nurse.
Hannah joined Highland Orthodontics in 2009 after studying and completing her SVQ 3 in Dental Nursing in 2008. Having been involved in general dentistry for the last 5 years Hannah has moved to specialist practice and started her radiography qualification. She hopes to go on to do her orthodontic nursing qualification in the near future.
Cairine Maclean, Administrative Assistant.
Cairine joined the practice in 2006. She is studying for a degree in Accountancy at Strathclyde University and during her holidays helps out with many administrative duties including book keeping and sourcing resources and services.
